General description

Sennoside B is a plant-derived anthranoid and is one of the active constituents of the senna drug. It is primarily used as a laxative and cathartic for treating constipation and bowel evacuation.

Application

Sennoside B may be used as a reference standard for the determination of sennoside B in pharmaceutical formulations by high-performance liquid chromatography method.
