Victoria Pure Blue BO (VBPO) is a cationic dye belonging to the triarylmethane family. Victoria Pure Blue BO-deethyl metabolite is reported as a potential biomarker for controlling the content of VPBO in farmed fish foodstuffs.

Application

Victoria Pure Blue BO may be used as an ion pairing reagent in:
  • Determination of molybdenum (VI) in food samples and beverages using flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS).
  • Determination of inorganic antimony species in beverages and biological samples beverages using flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS).
