General description

Ethylene glycol is a colorless liquid, which may be obtained via hydration of ethylene oxide.
This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food.

Application

Ethylene glycol has been used as a solvent in the synthesis of silver nanostructures, which serve as effective catalysts in the epoxidation reaction of ethylene.
It may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in biological samples by various chromatography techniques.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
