General description

Telluric acids exist in both cubic and monoclinic crystalline forms.1 It may be prepared by treating tellurium and tellurous acid with strong oxidants.

Application

  • Epoxidation of Olefins: Research on the use of diaryltellurium dicarboxylates in the epoxidation of olefins, where telluric acid derivatives act as catalysts (Shibuya et al., 2022).

  • Catalytic Production of NaClO3: Investigation of potential catalysts for the production of NaClO3, examining the acid-base equilibria of telluric acid (Szabó et al., 2021).
