General description

Vanadate-molybdate reagent can be prepared by dissolving ammonium molybdate and ammonium vanadate in distilled water along with concentrated nitric acid.

Application

Vanadate-molybdate reagent has been used to determine phosphorous using atomic absorption spectrometer, by vanadium phosphomolybdate method from cashew apple juice samples.

Reagent, suitable for eliminating interfering effects by phosphate and silicate in the AAS determination of Ca and Mg
