General description
Chelex®100 sodium form resin is a styrene divinylbenzene copolymer with a pair of iminodiacetate ions that serve as chelating groups to bind polyvalent metal ions.
Application
Chelex®100 can be used:
- As an ion exchange resin in wastewater treatment it has a high affinity for metal ions and selectivity for transition metals such as Zn, Co, Ni, and Cu
- In the extraction and purification of DNA
