Transition metal mix 2 can be used as a calibration standard in the determination of elemental composition in natural and synthetic betafite samples using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method (ICP-MS).

100 mg/L: Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Mo, W and Re in 2% nitric acid and 1% hydrofluoric acid.
