General description
Antibiotic Assay Medium No. 19 is designed for the microbiological assay of antibiotics. The medium contains essential components such as casein hydrolysate, which provides amino acids and peptides for microbial growth, dextrose serves as a carbon source for energy metabolism, phosphates are used to stabilize the pH, and agar acts as a solidifying agent in the medium for plate-based assays.
Application
Antibiotic Assay Medium No. 19 is widely used to determine antibiotic potency by measuring inhibition zones around test organisms. Suitable for clinical testing, food and beverage applications, and microbiology, this medium ensures reliable results in antibiotic susceptibility testing. Its high-quality formulation supports microbial growth and assay precision, making it a trusted choice for microbiological applications.
