General description

Clomipramine hydrochloride is one of the dibenzazepine tricyclic antidepressants that inhibits noradrenalin and serotonin reuptake in central nervous system. It also shows antimuscarinic properties.

Application

Clomipramine hydrochloride may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in traditional Chinese medicine and pharmaceutical formulations by analytical and cyclodextrin-modified capillary zone electrophoresis techniques.
