Application

Avidin-FITC from egg white has been used in:
  • flow cytometry
  • double immunostaining
  • double immunofluorescence
  • immunnohistochemistry

To determine the amount of labeled polyclonal IgG present in spores in an IgG prep. A known concentration of FITC avidin from egg white and biotin-IgG avidin was used in excess at 300nm.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline containing 10% (v/v) 0.5 M carbonate buffer, pH 9.5, and 15 mM sodium azide.

Preparation Note

Affinity purified protein.
