Application
Rabbit Anti-RAX (AB2) antibody can be used for western blot assays at a concentration of 0.5μg/ml.
Rabbit polyclonal anti-RAX (AB2) antibody is used to tag retina and anterior neural fold homeobox for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of retina and anterior neural fold homeobox in eye field/retinal development and eye pathologies such as microphthalmia and anophthalmia.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Retinal Homeobox Protein Rx (RAX) is a member of homeobox family of transcription factors. Mutations mouse and fish RAX lead to defects in retinal development and result in animal models of anophthalmia.

General description
Rabbit polyclonal anti-RAX (AB2) antibody reacts with bovine, canine, human, mouse, and rat retina and anterior neural fold homeobox factors.
Retina and anterior neural fold homeobox (RAX) is a paired-type homeobox gene expressed in the anterior neural fold and developing retina. RAX is involved in defining the eye field during early development wherein it participates in regulation of the proliferation and/or differentiation of retinal cells. Defects in RAX have been linked to the eye pathologies microphthalmia and anophthalmia.
