General description

ZNF444 codes for a zinc finger protein that stimulates the transcription of a scavenger receptor gene. This subsequently plays a role in the breakdown of acetylated low density lipoprotein (Ac-LDL). The EWSR1-ZNF444 fusion gene has been implicated in myoepithelial carcinomas of soft tissues.
Rabbit Anti-ZNF444 antibody recognizes human, mouse, rat, canine, and bovine ZNF444.

ZNF444 has a domain structure and amino acid sequence similar to several zinc finger transcription factors, which strongly suggested that ZNF444 is a transcriptional regulator.ZNF444 has a domain structure and amino acid sequence similar to several zinc finger transcription factors, such as Kruppel-like ZNF191 (MIM 194534).[supplied by OMIM].
