Gene Information
human ... CREB3L1(90993)
General description
CREB3L1 (OASIS) is a transcription factor that is involved in the regulation of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. It activates extracellular matrix gene expression and may play a role in the development of pancreas. CREB3L1 modulates the expression of the vasopressin gene in the hypothalamus of rats. EWSR1-CREB3L1 fusion transcript has been implicated in small cell osteosarcoma.
Rabbit Anti-CREB3L1 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, rat, and canine CREB3L1.
Rabbit Anti-CREB3L1 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, rat, and canine CREB3L1.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human CREB3L1
Application
Rabbit Anti-CREB3L1 antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 1.25 μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The CREB3L1 gene encodes a protein with a transmembrane domain that is a transcriptional activator of the CREB/ATF family.
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
Other Notes
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: MDAVLEPFPADRLFPGSSFLDLGDLNESDFLNNAHFPEHLDHFTENMEDF

Arginine vasopressin (AVP) is a neurohypophysial hormone regulating hydromineral homeostasis. Here we show that the mRNA encoding cAMP responsive element-binding protein-3 like-1 (CREB3L1), a transcription factor of the CREB/activating transcription factor (ATF) family, increases in expression in parallel with AVP

Old astrocyte specifically induced substance (OASIS) has previously been shown to be a putative endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress sensor in astrocytes with a mechanism of activation that is similar to ATF6. In this study we investigated the expression and activation

HIV-1 Tat is a major culprit for HIV/neuroAIDS. One of the consistent hallmarks of HIV/neuroAIDS is reactive astrocytes or astrocytosis, characterized by increased cytoplasmic accumulation of the intermediate filament glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP). We have shown that that Tat
