The effects of the psychostimulant (+)cathine (norpseudoephedrine) were examined in a two-choice, food-motivated, drug-discrimination paradigm. Rats were able to discriminate cathine from vehicle and this effect was dose- and time-dependent. Prior administration of cathine resulted in a diminished response (tolerance)
