General description

A mixture of collagen type I (~80%) and type III (~20%)

Application

Collagen ovine can be used in biosynthetic vascular prosthesis research. In particular, engineered biomatrix vascular conduits from ovine collagen can provide a substrate for the formation of flow resistant endothelium tissue.

Supplied as a 0.3% solution in 5 mM HCl.
