Application
OAW42 has been used to investigate the cytotoxic potential of histone deacetylase 1 as a target for ovarian cancer immunotherapy and to study the effects of tazemetostat, a potent and selective EZH2 inhibitor, on OAW42 cell lines.
Biochem/physiol Actions
From an ascites of patient with ovarian cystadenocarcinoma. Has retained ability to form free floating cysts in vitro and produces extracellular matrix. Has defined chemosensitivity pattern. Valuable for studies on biology of human ovarian cancer.
