Biochem/physiol Actions
Derived from an epidermoid carcinoma of the cervix metastatic to the small bowel mesentery of a 40 year old Caucasian. Ca Ski cells secrete the β subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin (β-h CG), express tumour-associated antigen and G6PD type B. Ca Ski cells have been reported to contain an integrated human papilloma virus 16 genome (HPV-16 about 600 copies per cell) and HPV-18 related sequences.
