Biochem/physiol Actions
Mouse BALB/c plasmacytoma, IgG secreting
The original plasma cell tumour was induced by intraperitoneal injections of mineral oil into highly inbred BALB/cJ mice. The line secretes IgG1, is hyperdiploid and produces a balanced synthesis of monomeric 4-chain gamma F/immunoglobulin.
Preparation Note
L15 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 37°C. The cells have a maximum density of 1-2x1,000,000 cells/ml. CO2 is not required.
