This cell line is an Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transformed lymphoblastoid line and is part of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Typed Collection maintained by the European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC). HLA-Typing Data is available for this cell line.

RPMI 1640 (R0883) + 2mM Glutamine (G7513) + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (F2442). Once a growing culture is established the FBS concentration can be reduced to 10%.

Maintain cultures between 3x10⁵ - 2x10⁶ cells/ml, 5% CO2, 37 °C. Upon resuscitation remove cryoprotectant - centrifuge at 300 x g for 5 minutes and re-suspend the cell pellet in fresh culture medium.

This cell line is part of the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC), an international repository managed by the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA). No licensing agreement is required when the DNA extracted from this cell line are used for internal research purposes only.
