How to Find a Lot/Batch Number for COA
Lot and Batch Numbers can be found on a product's label following the words 'Lot' or 'Batch'.
For a lot number such as TO09019TO, enter it as 09019TO (without the first two letters 'TO').
For a lot number with a filling-code such as 05427ES-021, enter it as 05427ES (without the filling-code '-021').
For a lot number with a filling-code such as STBB0728K9, enter it as STBB0728 without the filling-code 'K9'.
In some cases, a COA may not be available online. If your search was unable to find the COA you can request one.
If available for a given product, the recommended re-test date or the expiration date can be found on the Certificate of Analysis.
The lot specific COA document can be found by entering the lot number above under the "Documents" section.
No. Only upon hydrolysis of the esters, catalyzed by cellular esterase, the lactone ring opens yielding fluorescein. Only the fluorescein form is fluorescent.
The maximum excitation wavelength is 490 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 526 nm.
This compound is used extensively for the staining of living cells. It has been used as a viability stain for cultured neurons and plant ways, and in measuring of esterase and cholinesterase activity. We have found that it is slightly soluble in water at 0.1%, and in ethanol at 0.3%. It is also soluble in dimethylformamide (DMF).
Based on our experience, stock solutions of fluorescein diacetate at 5 mg/mL in acetone or DMSO can be stored at -20 °C. According to one on-line source, solutions at 5 mg/mL in acetone or ethanol can be stored refrigerated.
