Application

L-Glutathione oxidized disodium salt has been used in 5,5′-dithiobis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB)/glutathione reductase enzyme recycling method to determine plasma or tissue glutathione levels. It has also been used in NADPH-dependent glutathione disulfide reduction assay.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Oxidized L-glutathione is frequently measured in vivo as an indicator of oxidative stress. Oxidized L-Glutathione may be converted to L-glutathione by various reducing systems.
