General description
The MOPC-104E tumor line that produces mouse IgM is a mineral oil induced plasmacytoma originated and carried intraperitoneally in BALB/c mice. Mouse consists of five immunoglobulin classes- IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgE. IgM is present on the surface of B lymphocytes in its monomeric form.
Application
IgM, λ from murine myeloma has been used as control in chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis. It has also been used in immunohistochemitsry.
IgM, λ from murine myeloma was used as a control antibody in ChIP analysis of GATA-1-null and GATA-1-positive G1E cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Antigen Specificity: α(1→3) glucose
IgM antibodies are present as pentamers in the serum and are produced in response to antigens.

Abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) is thought to play an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and restenosis. Previous studies have implicated the extracellular matrix protein thrombospondin-1 (TSP1) in mitogen-dependent proliferation of VSMCs. In this study
