General description

3-(N,N-Dimethyloctylammonio)propanesulfonate is a zwitterionic detergent.

Application

3-(N,N-Dimethyloctylammonio)propanesulfonate has been used in a study to assess correlations between surrogate nitrogenous organic precursors and C-, N-DBP formation. It has also been used in a study to investigate DNA binding site discrimination. Zwitterionic detergent; mild solubilizer of plasma membranes.
