Gene Information
rabbit ... 53BP1(7158)
Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0077 maps to a region between residues 1925 and the C-terminus (residue 1972) of human tumor protein p53 binding protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_005648.1 (GeneID 7158).
Physical form
Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
53BP1 (p53 Binding Protein 1) is an early participant in the cellular response to DNA double-strand breaks. 53BP1 functions in a redundant role in phosphorylation of the downstream checkpoint effector proteins Brca1 and Chk2 but was required for the formation of Brca1 foci in a hierarchical branched pathway for the recruitment of repair and signaling proteins to sites of DNA damage.
