Reagent Alcohol is denatured ethanol. It is widely used in histology and cytology for tissue processing.
Application
Reagent Alcohol has been used for dehydrating tissue samples before embedding in histology.
Other Notes
95 parts of specially denatured ethyl alcohol 3A with 5 parts of isopropyl alcohol. Final concentrations are ~ 85% ethanol, ~ 5% methanol and ~ 5% isopropanol. Contains 5% water.
