General description

SYT1 (synaptotagmin-1) or phospho-Synaptotagmin is a calcium binding synaptic vesicle protein, that is located on chromosome 12q21. It is usually present in nerve cells.

Immunogen

synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acids residues surrounding the serine 309 of synaptotagmin (Syt).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Synaptotagmin-1 (SYT1) is an essential factor for exocytosis, endocytosis and vesicular Ca2+/H+ antiport activity.

Physical form

Solution in 10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl with 100 μg/mL BSA and 50% glycerol.
