Gene Information
human ... OSMR(9180)
General description
Oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) is a cell surface cytokine receptor. Oncostatin M and interleukin-31 are its ligands. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 5p.
Immunogen
OSMR (NP_003990.1, 141 a.a. ~ 240 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.

Biochem/physiol Actions
Oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) acts as an activator of janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription (JAK/STAT) and mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. Thus, it has a role in stimulating cytokines and inflammatory substances. Mutation in the OSMR gene has been linked to primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4
