Biochem/physiol Actions

Glutathione peroxidase 3 (GPX3) blocks oxidative damages by decreasing redundant reactive oxygen species (ROS). It plays a major role in solid tumors and hematological malignancies. GPX3 also plays an important role in the effectiveness of leukemic stem cells (LSCs) and self renewal actions of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

General description

Glutathione peroxidase 3 (GPX3) belongs to the glutathione peroxidase (GPX) family. It is located on human chromosome 5q23.

Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-NQFGKQEPGENSE from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_002075.2.

Physical form

Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in Tris saline with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
