General description
Anti-COX41 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total COX41 protein.
COX41 (cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4I1) is located on human chromosome 16q24. COX4NB (COX4 neighbour) and COX4I1 (COX4 isoform 1) belongs to the cytochrome C oxidase subunit IV (COX4) family.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human COX41.
Immunogen Range: 11-60
Immunogen Range: 11-60
Biochem/physiol Actions
COX4 isoform 1 (COX4-1) (COX4-1) may play an important role in glioma chemoresistance. It regulates the upregulation of BMI1 (polycomb complex protein BMI1). It is necessary for the multiplication of GBM (glioblastoma multiforme). In cells, expression of COX4-1 is necessary to maintain the stability of mitochondria and ROS (reactive oxygen species) homeostasis.
