General description
Anti-MT-ND1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total MT-ND1 protein.
MT-ND1 (mitochondrially encoded NADH dehydrogenase 1mt-Nd1) codes for NADH dehydrogenase-1.

Biochem/physiol Actions
MT-ND1 (mitochondrially encoded NADH dehydrogenase 1mt-Nd1) plays a vital role in the electron transport chain of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS). Mutations in MT-ND1 gene is observed in individuals with LHON (leber′s hereditary optic neuropathy). Mutation in MT-ND1 results in dextrocardia, ventriculoarterial discordance and tricuspid atresia.
