General description

Prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 8q24. PSCA is a 123 amino acid protein, belonging to the thymocyte antigen 1 family.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Prostate Stem Cell Antigen.

Immunogen Range: 41-90

Biochem/physiol Actions

Prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA) regulates the cell cycle, has a role in signal transduction pathways and mediates c-Myc-stimulated proliferation. It may have a role in prostate cancer. PSCA has been shown to be expressed in various cancers.
