Gene Information
human ... ARRB1(408)
General description
Arrestin 1 (ARRB1) is also termed as β-arrestin-1. This is a cytoplasmic adaptor protein located on human chromosome 11q13.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Arrestin 1 around the phosphorylation site of Ser412.
Immunogen Range: 369-418
Immunogen Range: 369-418
Biochem/physiol Actions
Arrestin 1 (ARRB1) participates in DNA damage accumulation and cell apoptosis. Deletion of ARRB1 blocks DDR (DNA damage response) pathway activation. During hypoxia, ARRB1 controls breast cancer cell survival with the help of HIF-1 transcription factor. This gene can act as a scaffold and an adaptor in receptor endocytosis and signal transduction.
