Tazemetostat inhibits the EZH2 protein. EZH2 is a histone-lysine N-methyltransferase enzyme that plays a key role in epigenetic regulation of gene expression in cells. As an epigenetic modifier, EZH2 protein controls the transcriptional repression of various genes involved in cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and other cellular processes.
