Neriifolin, a steroid cardiac glycoside, is a bioactive natural compound commonly derived from plants such as Cerbera odollam, Cerbera manghas, Thevetia ahouai and Thevetia peruviana and it is functionally related to a digitoxigenin. Current research suggests that this metabolite acts as an inhibitor and may exhibit diverse biological activities, including anticancer, apoptosis inducing, and anti-inflammatory properties.
