SU086 is a cell-permeable, non-toxic, bioavailable chalcone compound that decreases HSP90 levels and impairs glycolysis. SU086 is shown to inhibit prostate cancer cell growth, migration, and invasion in vitro (10 μM) through non-androgen receptor mediated pathways. SU086 displays favorable PK profile and synergizes with enzalutamide and abiraterone to decrease prostate cancer growth in vitro and in vivo. It is a potent inhibitor of selenoprotein thioredoxin reductases (TrxRs).
