Potent and selective retinoid X receptors (RXRs) agonist that activates cellular RXR homodimer as well as RXR:RAR heterodimer.
JP3000 is a potent and selective retinoid X receptors agonist (EC50/Emax = 5 nM/38-fold/RXRα 1.4 nM/69-fold/RXRβ, 4 nM/24-fold/RXRγ) with >100-fold selecivity for RXR over a panel of 27 other nuclear receptors (little or no activation at 1 µM). JP3000 activates cellular RXR homodimer as well as RXR:RAR heterodimer (EC50 = 2.6 and 29 nM, respectively), and induces RXR-regulated GDE1 gene expression (by 2.3-fold/10 nM & 3.6-fold/100 nM).
