Reversible allosteric inhibitor of myosin ATPase and motor activity specific for class-1 myosin; inhibits T. cruzi parasite motility.
Pentachloropseudilin is a reversible allosteric inhibitor of myosin ATPase and motor activity specific for class-1 myosin. Pentachloropseudilin is a natural product present in marine bacteria Chromobacterium sp., Pseudomonas bromoutilis, and Alteromonas luteoviolaceus. Pentachloropseudilin inhibits T. cruzi parasite motility, host cell adhesion and invasion.
