Antithrombotic aminoestrogen.
Prolame is an antithrombotic aminoestrogen. Prolame has estrogenic effects similar to 17beta-estradiol (E2) but unlike E2, which has procoagulant effects, prolame is an antithrombotic and produces anticoagulant effects. It exhibits anxiolytic- and antidepressant-like effects in middle-aged female rats with less uterotrophic effects than 17β-estradiol.
