FHIN1 exhibits nutrient-dependent antiproliferation activity in cancer cultures (mean IC50 = 2.2 µM in glucose-free L-15 medium; SW620, ACHN, HCT-116, PC3, SK-MEL-28) by targeting tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle without blocking mitochondrial electron-transport chain (ETC) or ATP synthase.
