Gene Information
human ... TAOK3(51347)
General description
TAOK3 or TAO kinase 3 is a member of the serine/threonine-protein kinase family that inhibits the basal activity of Jun kinase and is negatively regulated by epidermal growth factor (EGF). Overexpression of TAOK3 may activate the ERK1/ERK2 and JNK/SAPK targets. TAOK3 is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs), thymus, spleen, kidney, skeletal muscle, heart and liver.
Physical form
Supplied in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF, 25% glycerol.
Preparation Note
after opening, aliquot into smaller quantities and store at -70 °C. Avoid repeating handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles

The Sterile-20 or Ste20 family of serine/threonine kinases is a group of signaling molecules whose physiological roles within mammalian cells are just starting to be elucidated. Here, in this report we present the characterization of three human Ste20-like kinases with

Mammalian members related to Saccharomyces cerevisiae serine/threonine kinase STE20 can be divided into two subfamilies based on their structure and function. The PAK subfamily is characterized by an N-terminal p21-binding domain (also known as CRIB domain), a C-terminal kinase domain
