Gene Information
human ... CDH1(999)
General description
Cadherin-1 (CDH1) is a transmembrane protein, which is mainly involved in cell adhesion in normal epithelia. The associated gene is mapped to human chromosome 16q22.1.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Cadherin-1 (CDH1) stabilizes the cell adhesion in normal cells and also helps in signaling via association with β catenin. Mutations in the CDH1 gene are linked with oral clefts in the Thai population. CDH1 works as a tumor suppressor in various cancers. Low expression of CDH1 increases cellular invasive and metastatic potential. For instance, low expression of this gene is associated with poor survival of patients with esophageal cancer.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4. Normally Mannitol or Trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization.
Preparation Note
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile PBS, pH 7.4 to a concentration of 50 μg/mL. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 month. For extended storage, it is recommended to store at -20°C.

Aim to investigate the effect of miR-206 on the growth and metastasis of breast cancer stem cells and clarify the precise mechanism of miR-206 on EVI-1-mediated CALR expression in driving malignant phenotype. Our results showed that miR-206 mimics suppressed CALR
