General description
Dextrose polymers are functionalized with thiol-reactive groups, which react at a slower rate with thiol groups of crosslinkers (CD/PEG crosslinkers) to form stable hydrogels. The slow gelation kinetics allows enough time to conveniently manipulate the solution before the onset of homogenous gel formation. The thioglycerol is used to maintain hydrogel strength and also as a control to compare cellular behavior in peptide-modified versus unmodified hydrogels.
TrueGel3D enzymatic cell recovery solution (TRUEENZ-500UL) is used to dissolve dextran polymers for easy recovery of chemically fixed or live cells for post-culture analyses including RT-PCR, western blots and other molecular biological studies.
