General description

The thiol group of thioglycerol covalently binds to SH-reactive groups of polymers (Dextrans/PVA) to modulate gel strength.

Application

TrueGel3D thiglycerol is used as negative control in place of bioactive peptides to modify hydrogels.

Other Notes

Excess use of thioglycerol results in few thiol-reactive groups for crosslinking
TRUETHIO-180UL contains thioglycerol
