General description

The UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase 2 (UGP2 ) gene is localized on human chromosome 2p15. It has a crucial role in carbohydrate metabolism. Its product uridine diphosphate-glucose (UDP-glucose) acts as a precursor for sugar nucleotides and is involved in various pathways. The enzyme is involved in the conversion of glucose-1-phosphate and MgUTP to UDP-glucose and MgPPi.

Immunogen

UGP2 (NP_001001521, 1 a.a. ~ 90 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.
