Biochem/physiol Actions

Mesoderm inducer in Xenopus like 1 (MIXL1) is crucial for specification of the mesoderm and endoderm during early embryogenesis. It modulates the proto-oncogene c-REL. The protein may have a role in acute myelogenous leukemia.

General description

Mix paired-like homeobox, also known as mesoderm inducer in Xenopus like 1 (MIXL1), is a homeobox transcription factor. It is induced by the transforming growth factor-β family of ligands. MIXL1 is expressed in hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 1q42.12.

Immunogen

MIXL1 (NP_114150, 86 a.a. ~ 185 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.
