Clone 2N2 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects AGTPBP1/CCP1. It targets an epitope within 22 amino acids from the C-terminal half of the protein.

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting with His/ABP tagged, recombinant fragment of human AGTPBP1/CCP1.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected His/ABP tagged, recombinant fragment of human AGTPBP1/CCP1.

Tested Applications

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution from a representative lot detected -AGTPBP1/CCP1 in Saos-2 cell lysate.

Enzyme Immunoassay Analysis (ELISA): Serial dilutions from a representative lot detected His/ABP-tagged recombinant fragment of AGTPBP1/CCP11.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CCP1/AGTPBP1 in HEK-293 cells.

Affinity Binding Assay Analysis: The binding affinity of this antibody to CCP1/AGTPBP1 peptide was at least one thousand-fold (1,000X) higher than that obtained with the non-specific control peptide.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CCP1/AGTPBP1 in human testis tissue sections.

Cytosolic carboxypeptidase 1 (UniProt: Q9UPW5; also known as EC:3.4.17.-, ATP/GTP-binding protein 1, Nervous system nuclear protein induced by axotomy protein 1 homolog, Protein deglutamylase CCP1) is encoded by the AGTPBP1 (also known as CCP1, KIAA1035, NNA1) gene (Gene ID: 23287) in human. Cytosolic carboxypeptidase 1 (CCP1) belongs to the metallopeptidase M14 family. The structural features of CCP1 reveal a conserved catalytic domain responsible for carboxypeptidase activity. It functions by cleaving peptide bonds at the C-terminal end of proteins. CCP1 deglutamates target proteins thereby modulating their structure and activity. CCP1 has been implicated in various physiological processes, including neuropeptide regulation, antigen presentation, and protein degradation pathways. It may be involved in modulating synaptic transmission in the brain, as well as playing a role in insulin and glucose homeostasis. Altered CCP1 expression has been observed in pancreatic cancer, suggesting potential implications in tumor development and progression. This ZooMAb^® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
