Gene Information
human ... IL1RL1(9173)
General description
Interleukin-1 receptor-like 1 (UniProt: Q01638; also known as Protein ST2) is encoded by the IL1RL1 (also known as DER4, ST2, T1) gene (Gene ID: 9173) in human. Interleukin-33 receptor (IL-33R) is a member of the IL-1 receptor family and plays a pivotal role in immune regulation. IL-33R forms a signaling complex by binding IL-33 and recruiting the IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP), which facilitates downstream signal transduction. This interaction engages MyD88, leading to activation of NF- B and MAPK pathways, crucial for inflammatory responses. The receptor′s expression is predominantly observed on Th2 cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), mast cells, and other leukocytes, underscoring its role in type 2 immunity. IL-33R mediates the effects of IL-33, a cytokine involved in promoting Th2-associated cytokine production, such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13. This axis is essential for the development of allergic inflammation, asthma, and other chronic inflammatory diseases. Additionally, IL-33R signaling contributes to tissue repair, parasite defense, and neuroimmune regulation. Dysregulation of IL-33R signaling has been implicated in various pathologies, including autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our proprietary technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Immunogen
Application
Evaluated by Western Blotting using a His-tagged, recombinant fragment of human ST2/IL-33R protein.
Western Blotting Analysis: 1:10,000 of this antibody detected a His-tagged, recombinant fragment of human ST2/IL-33R protein.
Tested Applications
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected ST2/IL-33R in human kidney tissue lysate.
Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound with ST2/IL-33R peptide with at least one billion-fold (1,000,000,000X) higher affinity than with non-specific control peptide.
Enzyme Immunoassay: A variety dilutions of representative lot of this antibody detected ST2/IL-33R protein in ELISA application.
Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.
