General description

Porous polymers are the most suitable adsorbent for applications based on the analysis of gases, acids, amines, organics of low carbon number and water. They are best suited for gas chromatography and are basically copolymers of polydivinylbenzene (DVB) which are very porous in nature ranging from mesoporous to microporous. Porapak Q is a porous polymer composed of ethylvynilbenzene and divynilbenzene mostly suitable for the separation of hydrocarbons, organic analytes in water, and oxides of nitrogen.
Porapak porous polymers are spherical beads with consistent particle size, porosity, and surface area that help to insure analytical precision and accuracy.

Application

Porapak Q packed in a stainless steel GC column maybe used for oxidation reduction experiments for designing of appropriate surface sites for ruthenium-ceria catalysts supported on graphite by controlled preparation method.
