General description

Nitrosamines are chemical compounds that can form during drug manufacturing and may pose health risks, including carcinogenicity.
1-Nitrosopiperidine solution is commonly employed as a certified reference compound in analytical chemistry. It is utilized in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques for the detection and quantification of nitrosamines in chemical, pharmaceutical, and environmental matrices

Application

1-Nitrosopiperidine solution may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of nitrosamine impurities in pharmaceutical preparations using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
