General description

Acrolein-2,4-DNPH is a derivative of acrolein formed via chemical reaction of acrolein with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid.

Application

Acrolein-2,4-DNPH has been used to determine the amount of acrolein present in polyethylene combustion product (PCP) extract, using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
